Open-sources have reported that three U.S. sanctioned tankers have been intercepted by the Indian Coast Guard approximately 100 nm off Mombai, India (exact position and time not specified). Reports state that the vessels were involved in illegal fuel transfer operations within the Indian Exclusive Economic Zone. Further reports state that these vessels were operating with fraudulent documentation, which the origin of this documentation is still being verified. Open-sources are stating that the vessels are likely to have been taken to Mumbai port agencies for further investigation.
