Open-source reports state that U.S. Central Command forces has launched a series of airstrikes against the Houthi controlled fuel port of Ras Isa (exact time not specified). The statement from U.S. Central Command says that action was taken to "eliminate this source of fuel for the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists and deprive them of the illegal revenue that has funded Houthi efforts to terrorise the entire region for over 10 years. Houthi affiliated media sources state that at least thirty-three people have been killed and one hundred persons injured including paramedic and civilian workers, however this have not been confirmed independently. Some Middle-eastern sources also state that the U.K were involved in the airstrikes but this was not reported by U.S. Central Command nor has confirmation been made by the U.K. government. There have also been no reported instances of vessels sustaining damage as a result of the strikes. |
