Open-Source reports have stated that a cargo vessel carrying Ukrainian grain, was struck by a Russian missile whilst underway in the Black Sea (exact time and position not specified). The Ukrainian President has stated the missile strike occurred just after the vessel had exited Ukrainian territorial waters and entered Romania's maritime economic zone. A Romanian Naval spokesperson however confirmed the incident had not taken place in Romanian waters and that no assistance had been requested from the vessel. Initial reports state and images show that the vessel sustained damage to her port side including a cargo hold and a crane. No casualties have been reported. Russian authorities have not yet released a statement or commented on the reports.
