| It has been reported by the UKMTO that a vessel has been attacked approximately 97nm Northwest of Hodeidah, Yemen (exact position not specified). Clearwater have received further information that a Liberia flagged tanker has been struck on the port side by an unmanned surface vessel. Initial reports are stating that the tanker has sustained minor damage and the crew are safe. UPDATE 1: The UKMTO have been informed by the Master of the tanker, that there is some light smoke as a result of the impact and that the vessel is proceeding to the next port of call. UPDATE 2: The JMIC confirmed that the tanker changed course and headed north out of the threat area to assess the damage to the vessel and investigate a potential oil spillage | |||||
