| It has been reported that a robbery has occurred on a heavy load carrier at Kabil Anchorage, Batam. The crew reported sighting two vessels towards the stern of the vessel where the robbers climbed up onto the low freeboard hull. It was reported that the perpetrators entered the engine room and stole forty-four spare parts, injuring one crew member in the process. No other injuries were reported. Local authorities were notified and arrived on the scene 90 minutes after the distress call, however when they arrived the perpetrators had already escaped. | |||||
