It has been reported by the UKMTO that a distress call from a vessel has been received approximately 96nm Southeast of Nishtun, Yemen. The authorities are currently investigating. UPDATE: The UKMTO has notified that the tanker involved has reported to have suffered flooding that could not be contained therefore, the crew have abandoned ship. The Master and crew have been recovered by an assisting ship. The abandoned tanker remains drifting at 14° 31.00' N, 053° 08.00' E.
