| It has been reported that an Iranian-flagged fishing vessel was hijacked by nine armed pirates, approximately 90nm Southwest of Socotra on the evening of the 28th March 2024 (exact time not specified). Two Indian Naval vessels that were deployed in the area, intercepted the fishing vessel. After 12 hours of coercive measures, the pirates were forced to surrender. The crew of twenty-three Pakistani nationals were safely rescued. | |||||
