The UKMTO have received a report of an ongoing incident approximately 50nm South of Aden, Yemen. The authorities are investigating. UPDATE 1: It has been reported that there was an explosion near to the vessel. The vessel and crew have been reported as safe. UPDATE 2: Further information has been received that the Marshall Island-flagged bulk carrier has sustained damage. Further reports confirm that three anti-ship ballistic missiles targeted the bulk carrier, two of the missiles impacted in the water with the third missile destroyed by the USS Laboon. The bulk carrier has only sustained minor damage, is still seaworthy and is heading to its next port of call.
