Open-source reports state that a Maltese-flagged cargo vessel was struck by a drone whilst underway in the Indian Ocean (exact time and location of the incident has not been specified). A United States defence official has reported that the drone appeared to be an Iranian made Shahed-136 drone and added that the cargo vessel only sustained minor damage. The company currently operating the vessel, which is reportedly owned by an Israeli billionaire, released a statement confirming that the vessel is currently sailing as planned and that all crew are safe and well.
