It has been reported that there has been an attempted robbery onboard a vessel anchored at Lome anchorage, Togo. Duty crewman had spotted a a local canoe approaching the vessels anchor chain. One perpetrator began to climb the chain, which caused the crew member to raise the alarm. Upon hearing this, the robber jumped into the canoe and escaped.
