The MDAT-GoG have released a notice stating that they are aware of a Piracy Action Group currently operating in the Zone D Area of the Gulf of Guinea. This area spans from Cameroon to the Gabon and includes Malabo, Santo Antonio, Sao Tome and Principe and San Antonio De Pale. The notice is valid until 0800 UTC on 14th December 2023. UPDATE: MDAT-GOG have issued an update stating that the Piracy Action Group are reported to be operating in the following revised area. This Warning is now active until the 16th December 2023 0800 UTC. 05°00N 005°00E 05°00N 010°00E 00°00N 010°00E 00°00N 005°00E It is also added that they strongly recommend that the seafaring community and ships transiting this area increase their vigilance and retain enhanced local surveillance and apply BMP WA procedures. |
