The UKMTO have received a report of an attack on a vessel 110nm Southeast of Aden, Yemen. The authorities are investigating. Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO. UPDATE 1: The Master reported an unmanned aerial vehicle in close proximity to the vessel, followed by an explosion in the water approximately 30 metres off the port side. Coalition Forces are responding. The vessel and crew are reported as safe and are continuing to the next port. UPDATE 2: It has been confirmed that the vessel involved in the incident was an American owned Marshall Islands-flagged chemical tanker and that a missile caused the explosion off the port side of the vessel.
